Sonara AI Review 2026: Pricing, Limits and Alternatives

Sonara does not publish a public pricing page (sonara.ai/pricing returned a 404 when we checked), so the prices below come from Sonara’s plan screen at signup on the same day. Check them there before you pay.

The short answer

Sonara AI is a real, US-focused auto apply service run by BOLD LLC, the company behind several resume brands. It builds a queue of jobs that match your profile, lets you remove the ones you do not want, and applies to the rest on your behalf. On its plan screen, trial access is $2.95 for 14 days, then $23.95 billed every 4 weeks, and annual access is $5.95 a month. The detail most people miss is in its terms: the subscription renews at your next renewal date or when you submit your 11th application, whichever comes first.

It suits US job seekers who want to approve a queue rather than run applications themselves. It does not suit anyone outside the US, anyone who wants to see each form before it goes, or anyone who wants to try it without paying.

Three things about how you pay are confirmed by Sonara’s own terms of service (last updated 5 November 2024, checked 3 November 2026):

• It renews at the 11th application. “If you do not cancel your subscription prior to your next renewal date or before submitting your 11th application, whichever comes first, it will automatically renew.” So a trial or billing period can end early if Sonara sends 11 applications quickly.
• No partial credit. “No prorated credit will be given for partial use of your subscription.”
• Prices can change. Sonara may change prices and says it will notify you by email, with the change reflected in your next payment.

“Every 4 weeks” is not “monthly”. A 4-week cycle bills 13 times a year, not 12, so $23.95 every 4 weeks comes to $311.35 a year. Annual access at $5.95 a month works out to $71.40 over 12 months. For the full breakdown, see our Sonara pricing guide.

What Sonara actually does

Sonara’s terms describe the service this way: it “uses AI LLMs to search for job postings that match users’ preferences, Profile and job aspirations, and at the user’s request, applies to these jobs on its behalf.” In practice that means three steps.

1. Setup. You build a profile: job titles, salary range, location and your resume.
2. A match queue. Sonara gives you “AI curated job queues” built from your preferences. You can delete any job you do not want it to apply to and give feedback on the ones that fit. Its homepage says it scans “millions of openings” and you “wake up to your best matches”.
3. Automatic form filling and submission. Sonara fills out the application on your behalf and sends it, along with your resume.

Two details matter more than they first appear.

It can use an alias email. If you turn on the alias feature, employers see a Sonara-created address that forwards to your inbox. Sonara may scan messages sent to the alias for one-time passwords and two-factor codes so it can complete verification steps for you. You can switch the alias off at any time.

It cannot guarantee delivery. In Sonara’s words, it has “no control over company and/or employer websites and we cannot guarantee that your application will be properly received, or properly processed”. It also notes that some employers use anti-bot detection and reCAPTCHA, which can block or delay applications. That is honest, and it is true of every auto apply tool, including ours.

Limits and things to check before you sign up

These come from Sonara’s own terms rather than from reviews, so they apply to every account.

• It is built for the US. “The site is directed to people within the United States.” If you are job hunting in the UK, Germany, Nigeria or anywhere else, check that Sonara lists roles in your market before paying.
• Up to 1,000 applications a month. The terms say Sonara “may limit the number of job applications being submitted to 1,000/month/user”.
• Cancelling does not withdraw anything. Applications already sent stay with the employer after you cancel.
• A broad licence over your content. Like many services, Sonara’s terms give it a worldwide, perpetual licence to use the content you upload, including for marketing unless you say otherwise when you submit feedback or testimonials. Read section 6 of the terms if that matters to you.
• Arbitration. Disputes go to individual arbitration unless you opt out in writing within 30 days of first agreeing to the terms.

What reviewers say. On 3 November 2026, Sonara’s Trustpilot page showed a TrustScore of 3.8 from 103 reviews, 42 of them from the last 12 months. Trustpilot also notes that Sonara invites customers to review. Read the recent reviews there, because an average can hide recent changes.

How to cancel Sonara

From Sonara’s terms, checked 3 November 2026:

1. Log in to Sonara and open the Settings page.
2. Cancel the subscription there. If you cannot find the option, contact customer service at [email protected] or by phone on 855-695-3235.
3. Wait for the confirmation email with a cancellation number. If it does not arrive, contact customer service again, because without it you have no proof you cancelled.
4. Do this before your 11th application, not just before the renewal date.

Sonara’s plan screen promises a refund if you are unhappy for any reason during the trial. Its terms say it “may issue a refund” if you cancel through customer service before the trial ends, and that it “does not guarantee refunds after trials are expired”. Is Sonara AI legit?

Yes. Sonara is operated by BOLD LLC, with Auxiliant S.à.r.l acting as merchant of record for some payments, and it publishes full terms, a support email and a phone line. “Legit” is not the same as “right for you”, though. The things that catch people out are documented in its own terms: the renewal at the 11th application, no partial credit, and the US focus.
